Italian Square Meatballs

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup Italian Style Bread Crumbs
    Pasta and Rice
  • 1/2 lb bulk Italian pork sausage
    Meat
  • 1 egg
    Milk, Eggs, Other Dairy
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
    Condiments
  • 1 lb lean (at least 80%) ground beef
    Meat
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped onion (1 medium)
    Produce
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper

Steps

  • Heat oven to 425F. Line 15x10x1-inch baking pan with foil; spray foil with nonstick cooking spray. In large bowl, beat egg. Stir in all remaining ingredients.
  • In sprayed foil-lined pan, shape beef mixture into 8-inch square.
  • Cut into 25 squares; do not separate.
  • Bake 20 to 25 minutes or until meatballs are thoroughly cooked and no longer pink in center. With sharp knife, cut apart meatballs.
