Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon Wilton's No Color Butter Flavor (Optional)
    Oil, Vinegar, Salad Dressing;Baking
  • 4 cups Confectioner's Icing Sugar
    Baking
  • Approx 2 tablespoons Milk/Water (As Required)
    Milk, Eggs, Other Dairy
  • 1 teaspoon Wilton's Clear Vanilla Extract
    Baking
  • 1 cup Vegetable Shortening
    Oil, Vinegar, Salad Dressing;Baking

Steps

  • In a bowl, add the shortening, vanilla and butter flavoring and 2 tablespoons of water. Cream until light and fluffy.
  • Add sugar one cup at a time and beat after each addition, until all the ingredients have been thoroughly mixed together.Blend an additional minute or so, until creamy. This produces 3 cups of stiff consistency icing.For medium consistency, add 1 teaspoon of water to each cup of stiff consistency icing. For thin consistency, add 2 teaspoons of water for each cup of stiff consistency icing.
